Volunteer - Friends of Music

Just by the simple fact that your child is, might be, or has been involved with the music department at Naperville North, you are a member of Friends of Music, our parent booster organization.

Like any other parent organization, Friends of Music is only as vibrant and effective as the parents who volunteer. Whatever your interest, however much time you have to give, we have a place that can use your particular skills, talents and enthusiasm.

The Friends of Music board of directors oversees all volunteer activities, as well as the budget and other music department needs. The board is comprised of the chairperson, treasurer, secretary, and all four music directors, along with the committee heads for marching band, MANNA gift cards, the 40s Dance, newsletter, website, publicity, volunteers, fundraising, and liaisons for orchestra, chorus, and the booster club.

Opportunities to Volunteer

There are ample opportunities to volunteer throughout the year including:

• Marching Band Uniforms,
• Color Guard/Costumes,
• Marching Band props and pit crew,
• Chaperones,
• Assist at fund raising events,
• Spirit Boosters
• Publicity,
• Hospitality,
• Football Games,
• Parades and competitions, ...

Remember, your most important qualification is not necessarily your talent, but your willingness to help, show up and be involved in your child's activities.
