Naperville North Chorus

From the full glory of a concert choir to the scat rhythms of a jazz ensemble to the intricacies in sound of a small quartet or a renaissance chorus, the focus of the vocal music department is to lead students to a wide variety of choral literature and experience.

Chorus is both a curricular and extra-curricular activity at Naperville North. The curricular program encompasses several different concert ensembles and choirs. The make-up of the various choirs and ensembles will vary from year-to-year, depending on student personnel. During the school year, there are also opportunities for any NNHS student to audition and perform in jazz vocal ensembles, Madrigal Singers, a capella groups, and the annual musical performing shows such as South Pacific, West Side Story and the Mikado.

Vocalists are showcased in at least one choral concert each quarter and have several performance and competitive opportunities throughout the year. Over the last few years, our award-winning vocal groups have performed throughout Europe, in New York and in Boston.
