Renaissance Concert

The NNHS Music Department presents it's 10th Annual Renaissance Concert on November 30 at 7:00pm and December 1 at 3:00pm in the NNHS small cafeteria. Begun at Indiana University some 50 years ago, the NNHS Madrigal Singers will help you welcome the holiday season with their combination of Renaissance and Christmas selections. Joining the singers are two Freshman Madrigal ensembles and a recorder ensemble all choreographed by a court jester. Auditorium doors open 30 minutes before each performance with open seating. A selection of desserts and beverages complete the experience. Tickets are available from any Madrigal Singer or by contacting Mr. Y at jyarbrough@naperville203.org by November 26 for $5.00. After November 26 and at the door tickets will be $7.00.

The Madrigal Singers

The Madrigal Singers is an elite ensemble focusing on Renaissance and Christmas music during the the 1st semester. Auditions are held the previous May, allowing the ensemble to rehearse and perform during summer months. This year, the ensemble will have a workshop on the campus of Illinois State University, perform at their Shakespeare Festival (www.thefestival.org), perform at the Naperville Shakespeare Festival (www.napervilleparks.org/news), perform at the Bristol Renaissance Faire (www.renfair.com/bristol), and at the Naperville Downtown Harry Potter Release Party.
